Greyson's Blessing

On Sunday we blessed Greyson. It was the perfect day. Derek gave a beautiful blessing and Greyson was a wonderful baby as usual. We were lucky to have our family and friends there with us. Then we had lunch and spent the afternoon relaxing.

(Great-Grandpa Hendrix, Grandpa Adams, Great-Grandma Hendrix, Grandma Adams, Mom, Dad, Emily, Raegan, Grandpa Johnson, Ali, Grandma Johnson, Carly, Kylan, Emmit, Tim, Kassi, and Mya)

Thanks for coming!

Man, taking pictures with a 2 year old is a lot of work.

What a handsome guy.

Funny story - When Derek was getting Greyson dressed before church he peed all over him, Twice! Derek even had to change his tie.

Like I said, the perfect day.

Family Outings

Greyson will be six-weeks old tomorrow. Wow, that went by super fast. In that time we've already done a lot of fun things together as a family. Such as... going to an Aces baseball game when Greyson was just 2 weeks old.
We spent the weekend at Smith Creek for the Hendrix Family Reunion (see previous post). Later we went to Lake Lahontan to see our friends from Vegas (Jamie, Andy, Sammy, and Reese).
Then we headed home to Fallon for tin-foil dinner, smores, and swimming. Of course Raegan hates the water so this is as far as she would go.
Then we headed up to Donner Lake for Derek's work picnic.
Luckily Greyson is an awesome baby so everything went great. Raegan's not too bad herself.

Hendrix Family Reunion 2011

A couple of weeks ago we headed out to Smith Creek for the first ever Hendrix Family Reunion. It was so much fun. The perfect reunion. Eating, talking, relaxing, and more eating. I personally did pretty much nothing and loved it. I did go on one 4-wheeler ride with Miles and Raegan, but most of my time was spent hanging out at the house feeding my newborn baby. Derek went bunny blasting and shot his first ever animal, went to the shooting range and shot some guns, and tried to fly fish. I know he had a good time. Raegan was in heaven with so many little girls around to play with. She took a trip with Grandpa to feed the fish and spent most of her time sitting on the porch swing. Greyson was also lucky to have so many people around to hold him. He pretty much spent two straight days in someones arms. Of course the reason we all finally got together was to be with Grandpa and Grandma Hendrix. They have quite the posterity. We love them so so much.

This is my absolute favorite picture from the weekend. Raegan is feeding Grandma a cheeto.

The mandatory reunion pics. There sure were a lot of us. Thanks to Kari for getting the t-shirts. They looked great.

One Month

Greyson is one month old today. Wow, that went by super fast. He's one big boy. He no longer seems like a newborn baby. We pulled out the tape measure and he's close to 24 inches long. I think he weighs around 11 pounds already. Did I mention he's such a good baby. He's a great eater and sleeper (only wakes once during the night). I think we'll keep him.
