Catching up

It's been almost a month since our last posting. Several requests from family members have been made to post something new, so we've finally caved in to the pressure. In the last post Raegan had just begun crawling. She's still crawling, but at a much faster speed. She's all over the place. If you turn your head for a second she's off getting into something she shouldn't. Surprisingly she has this fascination with wires. Go figure! Raegan also pulled herself up for the first time. Of course neither of us actually witnessed it, but all of a sudden we see Raegan standing up next to the bookcase slapping her hand on the shelf. In addition to getting into everything she loves to talk. Right now her favorite thing to say is "dada." Derek likes to pretend that she is talking to him, but I don't think she quite understands what she is saying. This past week Derek was off for Spring Break. My mom, sister, and brother came into town for a couple days to visit. It was crowded for a couple days, but it was fun to see everyone. We did some shopping (mostly for Raegan), ate out at Cafe Rio (I'd sell my soul for a Pork Salad - j/k), and of course went golfing.
Raegan in her Valentine's Day dress. She looks so sad.
All smiles now!
Happy girls!
Raegan loves pestering Dad on his computer, so we gave her the old one to play with.
Raegan standing up. It is so fun to go into her room every morning and see her smiling.
Raegan has developed quite a cheesy grin.

Grandma A. got Raegan this hat. I don't know if she's tippin' her cap to the camera or trying to pull it off.

Raegan on the move!

When I blogged earlier today I said Raegan would crawl any day now. Well, today is actually that day! Check out this video of Raegan CRAWLING FOR THE FIRST TIME. It's a little slow, but very effective. Why do all babies love cell phones?

Smiling Baby & Hello Africa!

Here are some super cute pictures of Raegan smiling. Over the past couple of weeks I've worked really hard to try and get some pictures of her adorable, cheesey, teethy smile. Today I spent 45 minutes and got a few good ones. Thank goodness for digital cameras; possibly the greatest invention ever. Note: Raegan now has 6 teeth that are almost completely in and is such a happy baby. She's close to crawling any day now. UDPATE ON UNCLE GARRETT (ELDER ADAMS) See Garry's blog @ eldergarrettadams.blogspot.com (Congrats to Mom for learning to blog - very impressive!) We made a quick trip home to Fallon the last weekend in January to see my brother Garrett for the last time for two years. Uncle Garry is now in Ghana, Africa for two years to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We went home to hear him (and Mom and Dad) speak in church and spend a little quality time with the fam (p.s. we really missed Whitney and Cody:(). It was also nice to see my grandparents from Utah and Aunt Steff and Uncle Glen. Here are some pics (we took more, but they turned out really blurry for some reason and had to be deleted). We're sure going to miss him. We hope he has a safe and successful mission. Love you, Garrett!

Happy Half Birthday, Raegan!

Raegan is exactly 6 months old today. She's growing so fast; time is just flying by. Here is proof: It's already time to put the swing away. Does that mean she's not a baby anymore? I guess she's at least not a newborn anymore. Here's a description of Raegan at 6 months old: Raegan is very independent and pretty fearless. This is more a reflection of my parenting style than anything else, but Raegan loves to try new things. Falling down or being thrown in the air don't bother her. She usually just gives me this look: Translation: Are you sure you know what you're doing? Answer: Absolutely not! For example, this is her first time in a real swing. She just sat there for 45 minutes and didn't make a peep. She didn't crack a smile or cry, she just chilled. Here are things Raegan gets from her MOMMY (I'm sure you all will agree): Raegan is not photogenic. Don't get me wrong, she is absolutely beautiful, but the the girl will not smile. Check out this blog. There are very rarely any pictures of her smiling, but she has definitely mastered the serious face, that's for sure. She's obviously the daughter of someone voted "Most Serious" in high school! Raegan has brown hair that is slowly, but surely coming in. We're praying it comes in curly. Mostly because Mom is a little hair impaired. Raegan is very pale (which I think only makes her that much prettier). Our very own Snow White. Note: This trait was also inherited from her Father. She really never had a chance. Here are some things Raegan gets from her DADDY: Raegan has big beautiful blue eyes. I love them so much! Raegan will eat pretty much anything. So far she's had the following fruits and veggies and loves them all (some after a few tries): Green beans, peas, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, pears, applesauce, peaches. She also drinks water from a sippy cup and munches on Cheerios. Raegan also loves bath time and is still a mover and a shaker, but lucky for Mom she's now on a schedule and takes 2 seperate hour and a half naps each day and sleeps through the night (mostly). Yeah! Raegan is the greatest GIFT we've ever received. We love you, Raegs!

Camera MIA

I hate to post without pictures, but it's hard to post pictures when you left your camera in Fallon. Oops! Anyway, it's been a whole month and I'm sure people are sick of the Christmas themed blog. Who wants to be reminded that Christmas is 345 days away. We're heading home to Fallon at the end of the month for Garrett's farewell so we'll take lots of pictures then and I promise to update my blog more often. In case any of you were wondering, Raegan is still as cute as ever. I love her beautiful blue eyes and two crooked teeth (Dad is not as big a fan of the crooked teeth). Happy New Year!
