Summertime

Wow, I've missed some great blogging opportunities. Oops. Here's what we've been up to so far this summer. We went home to Fallon over the 4th of July weekend. We went out to Smith Creek with my family including Whit and Cody and G&G Hendrix. Derek learned how to fly fish. He claims he really enjoyed it while Raegan really enjoyed staring at the stuffed deer on the wall.

Raegan and Grandpa Hendrix enjoying corn for dinner (Raegan loves chewing on corn and apple cores). I heart this picture.

We bought Raegan her forward facing car seat for this trip. It was a little rough go at first, but after one hour long crying spell we finally broke her and now she loves it. She never cried once the entire drive home. This pictue was taken right before that crying spell. Can't you see it coming?

And just for kicks a picture of the "Shoe Tree" which you pass on the way to Smith Creek. Derek's exact word: "Gross." I agree.

On the 4th, our entire family (Johnson's and Adams') got together for a BBQ. I loved having everyone together. We must do this more often. Raegan really enjoyed being the center of attention and put on quite the show (with Caylee's help). They were very entertaining. Here's a short video clip.

Hanging out at G&G Johnson's. Raegan's attempt to look just like Aunt Ali (or a gangster).

I celebrated my 25th birthday on July 6th by going to Cafe Rio and having cake and ice cream with Blake and Courtney. I love their Pork Tostada (maybe a little too much).

And of course, since it's 110 degrees here in Vegas, we have spent plenty of time at the pool. Here are a few pool pics. Raegan really loves swimming.

Grandma Adams was just here for a week hanging out (thanks Grandpa A for letting her come). It was so much fun. We played this game (Settlers of Catan) way too much. Mostly because I kept winning. Grandma NEVER won (NEVER). I think my winning streak got up to 8. Raegan is getting closer to walking. As of today she has taken 7 steps, but each day she gets better. She is getting into everything and can reach for things I don't think she can. This has lead to some interesting expereiences which are not blog worthy, sorry. This picture is however. She took all the pans out of the cupboard, crawled in, but couldn't figure out how to get out. So she cried until I could take a picture. P.S. RAEGAN TURNS ONE ON WEDNESDAY. MORE TO COME!

What a fun blog to read. Love it. We are still trying to come on Wednesday for the big event. But the most important things are already in the mail just in case we don't make it. XOXO, G & G Johnson
